15th Season Announced
The Idiot's Guide to High School
October 6-8, 2010
Earl is an idiot.
Everybody says so, including his own mother. Undeterred, Earl
decides that this title uniquely qualifies him to host an informative guide to high school with
the assistance of his friend Shirley (another well-known idiot). Earl and Shirley
lead the audience through hilarious
interactive chapters on everything
from the true purpose of high school to crafting the perfect excuse, illustrating the topics with the help of fellow students. If you’re looking to unravel the mystery
of high school, then this is
the play for you!
The
Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon
December 15-17, 2010
Two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild fast-paced extravaganza.
To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin,
Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and
The Devil’s Grandmother. This hilarious comedy features many zany characters and lots of
audience participation.
The Clumsy Custard Horror Show
and Ice Cream Clone Review
March 2-4, 2011
We’re bringing back this hilarious show that had the audience roaring
all evening when it first played the Admiral Little Theatre in the fall of 2007. King Dumb is ready for
his daughter to select a husband and all of the Knights of the Rhelm are serious to claim her hand. But
the sweet Princess Prince has fallen for a gentle but courageous lad she assumes to be a pauper. Not so!
Little does she know that this stranger is Swashbuck Valpariso, bearer of the magic sword and Master of Fast Feet.
With audience participation throughout, the audience will have a great time and proud to be a Zobian!
Happy Daze
May 4-6, 2011
Julien
Thaddeus Springer—J.T. for short—tries to make it as an athlete and, even more importantly, he tries to make it
as a person who might interest some girl—any girl! J.T.'s problems begin to upset his home life and his parents exile him to his room. There's nothing in that room for him except
a television set, and he begins watching "nostalgia" programs, set in what seems to him a much happier time. He
becomes convinced that he's a 1950s personality trapped in the body of a modern teenager. To escape the unhappiness of his
real world, he creates a make-believe world—a town called Oakdale, in the 1950s—and in Oakdale he's not a weirdo!
In fact, he's someone special. In a climactic scene, J.T. fights through his problem and comes back prepared to cope with
the real world of today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Troupe has a Great Time at Festival 2010 Ryan,
Ashley, Kullen and Jacob all accompanied Mr. Hart to the International Thespian Festival at the University of Nebraska in
Lincoln during the last week of June. They were treated to many outstanding workshops and performances. "How
To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying', "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", "A Piece of My Heart"
and "Sympathy Jones' were especially good, but it was the closing night performance of "Urinetown" that thrilled
all in attendance. Mr. Hart told the Troupe that in the 12 years he has attended Festival, "Urinetown" ranks
near the top as the best he's seen on the fabulous Lied Center stage. It was definitely one of the all-time funniest
musicals ever written. Having front row seats was an added plus! This year's trip was another classic
Road Trip and the travellers enjoyed a stunning drive through the Ozark Mountains and attended a showing of Toy Story 3
at the historic Boulevard Drive-In Theatre on the way there, and a fun filled day at Six Flags on the way home. A fun
time was had by all!
